Have you ever experienced the presence of someone who has passed away? A man gets associated with so many things in his life time. Some of them are very special to a particular person, generally the owner, while some are treasured by all. One of the most treasured and hence hard to let go off are personal photos. Every house has photos. You may belong to a small family or a big one but you certainly do have personal photos. The issue is of what to do with these photos.
Personal photos are meant to be shared. It would be bizarre to take a photograph that you don't like to see again or share it with someone else. Most people would feel that their personal photos are not being shared effectively. The whole idea of sorting, labeling, scrap booking, arranging in albums seems entirely burdensome. Will not gifts be a better idea to share photographs?
Many companies exist which will print the personal photos on a wide variety of stationery and clothing. Gift your grandma a sweatshirt with the photo of grandchildren imprinted on it. Or have mugs with your family's Christmas photo imprinted on them. Click pictures from your cruise tour and share them through glasses that you share with your company on the cruise. You can share your personal photos through a large number of creative and touching ways.
Objects and clothing are not the only ways to share photos. Computer is a very good means too. Make a favorite photo of yours a background or set is as your screen saver. Email you personal photos to friends and family. I found a great photography site at http://www.photographyforfun.com. The traditional way of having the photos framed and placing them all over the house adds warmth and a personal touch. Each time you see the photo you can have fond memories which can make your day and thus become an integral part of your day to day life.
No matter what you make of your personal photos ensure that the memories are being cared for in a proper manner. Preserve them in area free from moisture and light so as not to harm them. Do have an occasional look at them to revive those warm memories. If you don't prefer displaying or maintaining photos, limit the number that you click. It is an absolute waste of money to develop photos when they will just gather dust. |
